We Booked Our DJ

WE BOOKED OUR DJ!!

Let me tell you a little bit about the whole background.....as you already know my mom and I went to a Bridal Showcase on Friday, January 11, 2008, the company that was hosting the event was a company by the name of DJs Available. They are a big corporation of maybe 20-25 different DJs, and each DJ is funny in their own way. When we were at the Bridal Showcase they did a fashion show and right before the fashion show a couple of the DJs got up and did a 15 minute presentation, my mom LOVED it! She said that she really wanted to book them for the wedding. So I called last week to make an appointment to book a DJ for our wedding. The owner of the company said that before we meet with him to sign the papers and put the deposit down, he wants us to get a taste of what all 25 DJs can offer. This company dose a thing every month and it is called the DJ Wedding Reception Presentation. What this is, is that you go to whatever Reception site they are hosting the "wedding" in and you sit and each DJ gets about 15 minutes to give you a taste of what they have. So it's a fake wedding, with food and drinks, the whole nine yards, and they do this so that you can get a taste of what your wedding would be like. So the owner of the company wrote up a contract and he mailed it to me, so now what we have to do is go to this "wedding" bring our contract, pick a DJ that we like at the end of the night, give our deposite and we are good to go! The reason why the owner did it this way is because this company is very popular and they book fast for June weddings, so we wanted us to make sure we had them for our date, so we did it a little differently. They are a great company, when Mike's friend got married last September they booked DJs Available for their reception and the DJ they booked kept us laughing all night! So I am very happy with our choice.
