For the day of the wedding I have decided that I'm going to need what is called a Bride's Emergency Kit just in case something was to happen. I am just getting a few Rubbermaid boxes and throwing the following in:

Pepto-bismol
Tums
Immodium
Excederin
MigraineTylenol or Advil
Hard candy
Smelling salts
Tampons/Pads
Repair Items Container:
Chalk
Black Sharpie
Blue Sharpie
Earring backs
Buttons
Extra black socks for the boys
Duct Tape
Pantyhose (extras in case anything happened)
Safety pins
Masking tape or sewing tape (last-minute ripped hems)
Thread for all dresses of wedding party & white thread
Small flashlight
Spare hat pins (in case florist forgets them for corsages)
Duct tape (works on falling hems, broken bouquet handles, wobbly unity candles)
'Throwaway' garter
Clear nail polish
Lint remover
Kleenex
Contact Solution
Safety pins
Bobby Pins
Bandaids
Small scissors (for thread)
Small sewing kit
Beauty Container:
Deodorant
Extra Contacts
Nail file & Nail kit
Dusting powder for before pictures are taken
Hand lotion
Handi-wipes
Makeup
Baby powder (also works great for spills on your white dress--just dab with water and then baby powder)
Makeup remover for face and for clothes

Nail polish in shade worn, & remover

Hairspray (good for runs in hose too)

Important Papers:
Directions to reception - extra copies
Phone numbers of all service vendors and cell phone
A list of outstanding to-do's that can be turned over to someone else (e.g. call ahead to the reception site to tell them that we are on our way; pay clergy and organist; etc.) - Maid of Honor and Best Man
